the quality is acceptable but if you consider the price is really good I suggest you to duplicate the female connection that is on the camera body over the body of the battery grip also

This is priced way low than i expect. Fits really good on the D5100 with no modifications or sanding off. Both batteries works with no errors. the Vertical shutter works well with no problems. Expect it to make your camera heavier with both batts... Easy to install,wobbles a little bit but that can easily be fixed with a little rubber in between and a o-ring on the screw to make it more rock solid. The quality is a 10 of 10. Over all I give this grip a 9.0 if only they can make one that does not need a wire to operate the vertical shutter.

produit recu bien emballé, conforme à la description. Il s'adapte parfaitement à mon D5100. Celui-ci est maintenant plus maniable et tient mieux en main.
équipé de ses 2 batteries, il permet une plus grande autonomie, c'est appréciable. La qualité de fabrication est correcte et il se marie super bien avec le boitier de mon Nikon. Pour le prix, il ne faut pas s'en passer, je le recommande à tout pocesseur du D5100.

Received the item in an excellent condition, I read the instructions and installed it on my D5100 with no issues at all. I had some EN-EL14 batteries that would not work directly in the D5100 camera, however, by putting the second source EN-EL14 battery in the right compartment & the original Nikon EL14 in the left compartment it worked like a charm. Very pleased of this purchase.
