Appears to hold charge at least as good or better than the original Canon battery. A very useful thing to have with you in the field. If you shoot video with your 5D, you need this, because video eats up batteries very quickly.

This battery works perfect with my Canon EOD 5 D mark II. Can also be used in Canon EOS 7 D.
You can see the battery status in the display.
The battery is 1800 mAh.
You buy it as a 2 pack and the price is very good.

Whilst it is a bit of a nuisance having to carry another different chargerrnthe batteries work fine and I keep them as spares on long shoots.
