the 4 for build quality is for the hot show connection and head-lock which is flimsy.
the rest is as solid as it looks... pretty good stuff : )

When coupled with a super clamp, this device is a very versatile and effective means of anchoring a camera or related equipment to anything a super clamp can get a grip on. Highly recommended to any photographer looking to advance their capabilities.
