It's my first monopod, and I must say I'm happy with the purchase. The price is right, the quality seems good enough, even though I'm sure I would get a tighter monopod for a lot more money. But this one is quite nice, too. It's sturdier than I what I'd hoped for.The lenght is also good. I'm 189 cm, and with a ballhead on top of it, the VF is above my eye level.

The value of this monopod is very good. Out of the four monoods available, I wanted the lightest one to carry with me when traveling. This monopod fits this purpose well because it is light and sturdy. For the price, the quality is excellent, but the legs slide in and out a bit loosely, but once clamped, and the clamps work well, it is quite sturdy. The carrying case that is supplied is nicely made, but too short to fit if any sort of head is mounted on the tripod. The only shipping issue I had, was that the stud that holds the carrying strap and ring and attaches to the camera, was missing. Since I am mechanically inclined, I just used a bolt that fit the tread and cut off the head and cut it to the right length. Once the cut off thread is screwed into the tripod, it all looks like it's from factory. In my opinion, it is a very good amateur monopod and would recommend it as such.

Every once and a while you can find great quality for cheap, this is one of those times. Aside from the great quality of this particular one, I recommend a monopod highly. I can take great shots with this without the bulk of a tripod and I can actually get more interesting angles with less work because it pivots on one point.
