For the cost, this is an excellent tripod, easily equal to the much more expensive Gitzo model, 'though I can't comment on durability as I haven't had it long enough. I would not recommend it for large telephoto lenses, however; it's probably OK for lenses up to ca. 300mm, but beyond that it's simply not rigid enough (ditto the equivalent Gitzo). Though it may support 12kg as stated, it will not do so rigidly enough for long lens photography.For this, a larger tube diameter is needed (32mm or greater) to provide the needed stiffness.tom b (USA)

-Sturdy enough: easily holds my D80 with fully extended 18-200mm f3.5 lens and I'd feel comfortable mounting something the size of a 70-200mm f2.8.-Highly versatile: lots of leg configurations. Center column reverses to get camera inches from the ground.

An excellent tripod for the price. Lightweight but suitable for any camera (I tested it with a heavy 4x5" large format camera). My Manfrotto head fit perfectly on it too. For this price, I don't think you can find any better.

Really enjoy using this lightweight tripod. I have had no issues with it like I have had with previous tripods. I am just so satisfied with this product. If you have any second thoughts about buying this because of the price,I say just buy it,you won't regret it!!!
