PRODUCT INFORMATION

The Off Camera Shoe Cord OC-E3 is an accessory used for moving the EOS-dedicated flash off the camera. It can be used as far as approximately 110cm away from the camera. All automatic functions of the EOS cameras are retained. It also features the same dust-and water-resistant performance as the EOS-1D series camera.

The OC-E3 has been improved over the OC-SC 2 with better sealing against dust and moisture, to better match the weather-resistant design of the EOS 1D Mark III and the 580EX2 flash. It also now features a sturdier foot.

How to use the OC-E3 cord?
  • Attaching to the camera: Slip the camera connector of the OC-E3 into the camera's hot shoe all the way.
  • Secure the off camera shoe cord: On the camera connector, slide the lock lever to the right. When the lock lever clicks in the place, it will be locked.
  • Detach the off camera shoe cord: While pressing the lock-release button, slide the lock lever to the left and detach the off camera shoe cord.

Fits my Canon 20D and Oloong SP680 flash perfectly.

Transmits E-TTLII information without problem.

The cord feels sturdy and is relatively heavy (it's thicker than the cord of those wired land-line phones)

The hot-shoe and flash receptor heads feel solid. The receptor for the hot-shoe connection has a lock that prevents it from disengaging from the camera's hot-shoe.

Good buy.

Ilt's not my first purchase here, and I've never been disappointed ! This cord works very well with my 5DMII and 430 EXII. For the price, it's a good choice. Highly recommanded !
