Actually this is a very good shotgun microphone for its money. It is sensitive enough as described in specs and the noise level is low considering the price range . Compared to Behringer C2 I own, i think that self noise is as good as C2 and maybe better (less hiss) .I wasn't able to actually measure noise level and sensitivity but comparing recordings with this mic and C2 i think that sensitivity and SNR is what is described in specifications.I use this mic with phantom power +48V balanced input , but i haven't check it with 1.5V battery or with unbalanced mono jack, so i can't really say how it sounds in that way.I think that it is perfect for low budget filmmakers , who seek the best possible audio with little money.I highly recommed it !
