PRODUCT INFORMATION

The LCD Viewfinder for Canon 550D 5D Mark III is consisted of Anti reflective coated 2.8X magnifying lens, Soft rubber eye cup, plastic barrel, and magnetic LCD screen mount. When mounting on LCD display of a Digital SLR, you can achieve more accurate focus and increase stability of handheld shooting. It also can be used by photographers who want to block out light while shooting in Live View mode or to inspect pictures on the LCD display.

The LCD viewfinder allows you to put your eye right up to it, similar to the way you would on a professional camcorder. It also prevents light from hitting the screen, alone making the LCD screen much more usable.
This viewfinder allows videographers to shoot outdoors under the bright sunlight which has been a huge problem as glare makes LCDscreen very difficult to use when making movies in the afternoon in sunny areas.

The LCD viewfinder uses four small magnets connecting with a metal frame that using unique adhesive connects it to the camera. The power of these magnets is strong enough to hold the loupe against the frame and camera

I always hated the fact the the "big brand" products cost way too many dollars, even tho their worth would be around 10$, so I was really happy to find this "knock off" version and ordered it immediately. The box came a bit damaged, but the actual product was in perfect condition, no harm done during shipping (which was really fast).
Installing was fairly easy, you just remove the tapes on the back of the metal piece and attach it to your dslr. I have a 550d / t2i, and even if it doesn't fit exactly perfectly, it fits, and works like a charm. Focusing is easier, and now I can finally see my lcd clearly.

For me, it was a great buy, and I don't really see the point to pay hundreds of dollars for some other crap, which has the same build quality as this. I can only recommend this for anyone out there, especially low budget filmmakers.

Given the price of this, compared to some other models available, I was a bit dubious about the quality but for under $10 it was worth the gamble. Installation was straightforward. Being at the age where I need to wear reading glasses it was a bit blurry as there is no diopter adjustment, but I read that even the more expensive models don't have them either, and the eyepiece is large enough to accommodate glasses. For casual use this is perfect value for money.
