The Light Painting,Many of us have already experienced, to write small words, make doodles are fun, but rarely original. Cirius we have already proposed a tutorial on this, but I wanted to expand a little.

Unpretentious, I'll try to explain how I use the light of my torches to create images resembling almost unreal. I was often asked for my "small stuff" when I presented my photos to criticism, so here are a few:

How does it work?

Sensitivity iso : as low as possible.

F /: around f/7.1, suitable for a dive, a pdc average, and have a relatively high brightness.

Speed: It depends on how long it takes to write, or do your "drawing", but more the exposure time is longer, your image will be noise ed.

Focal: Again, you have to try and make marks to write under.

That poses the basics, but you can also use the light painting in another goal.

How does it work?

Here you must not direct the light source to the device, but rather to that part of our picture that we want to illuminate. Then we moved our beam on the object to make uniform the light on it (as with a brush for spreading the paint with water), and thus avoid burn out an area, and leave a Another dark.

In this diagram the painter is in front of the camera, but be careful you stand between the light source and the camera, otherwise you may appear to the famous lines above. We must also remember not to enlighten themselves, if you're now more or less transparent in the picture, depending on the duration of your exposure to light. Feel free to combine the two methods. It is of course possible to place themselves outside the framework to illuminate your subject, but in this case we think you move from one side and the other of the object does not create strong shadows.

And color in all this?

It is relatively easy to color her light, we all saw in supermarkets small flashlights / keychain white LED, blue, red, ... Rarely high power, but to make light lines fantasies. To illuminate large topic, I use a halogen lamp, battery operated (found in hardware stores).

And for color, I put this lamp in front of "gelatin." These are transparent plastic sheets exist in multiple colors. We can buy from vendors Hi-Fi/spectacle for a few Euros. But it also works with plastic dividers. Finally the last little trick I use what technicians call a presenter of the show, it also presents itself as a plastic sheet, which has the property, as its name suggests, diffuse light, and thus to to spread the hot spot of a lamp, which makes it even more homogeneous light.
