Got this lens (Zonlai 50mm f1.4) in black, delivered to Australia within 2 weeks. Very quick delivery and great/helpful seller, have bought from them before without any problems. I also have a Kamlan 50mm 1.1 & 7artisans 55mm 1.4, so I will be comparing the Zonlai with these two lenses. This lens is only 200g compared to the Kamlan & 7artsians which are 270g each. Lightweight lens, for me, are better to take out for a day of photography. The build is fantastic, nothing wrong with the lens, but the focus ring is a tad harder to turn than the aperture ring, (my only complaint, the aperture movement is buttery sooth). Build quality matches the Kamlan & 7artisans lenses. Image quality is super. At f5.6/8 the image is very sharp, as sharp as the Kamlan & 7artisans at the center of the photo but much sharper at the edges than the Kamlan & 7Artisans. I was very surprised, (the Zonlai didn't loose much sharpness at corners at this aperture). At the widest aperture the Zonlai's center sharpness is not that good, i would rate the same as the 7artisans but not as good as the Kamlan. The Kamlan corner sharpness or edge sharpness at the approximate aperture of f1.4 is hopeless. It is much worse than the 7artisans & Zonlai. I would say the f1.4 edge sharpness of the 7artisans and Zonlai would be about the same. I would rate the bokeh at f1.4 of the 3 lens as follows: Kamlan, 7artsians, Zonlai. Kamlan having the best bokeh, but that said, Bokeh is very subjective, and to be honest there is not much noticeable difference in the bokeh of the 3 lenses.Summing up, if i could only keep the one lens i would definitely keep the Zonlai as it is the lightest, and the corner to corner sharpness at f5.6/8 if far superior compared to the other 2 lenses. Also bokeh at 1.4 is very smooth and is quite comparable to the other 2 lenses. Also very good value for AU$150.

Very nice f1.4 lens for portraits , for me personally it is a déclicked which I don't like, I like to know where my aperture is in photography, do not do video, very smooth focus , a little bit stiff but nice , good fit on my X-E3 nice lens cap of metal, but when you use the very good lens hood also metal, you can not use it because you have to take the hood of every time , there is a plastic lens cover delivered which goes deep into the lens hood, but why did they not deliver then a 58mm lens cover to put on the metal lens hood ? Result are very good still have to take more pictures but I like the feel of this one very much!!!!
